The number of persons newly diagnosed with HIV infections has been diminishing over the years in the Los Angeles County, home to San Gabriel City. The infections rates drastically reduced from 2,133 infections reported in 2013 to reach a low of 1,731 infections at a rate of 16.8 per 100,000 persons in 2018.
