The bedroom community of Grand Prairie is facing close to the highest rates in the state for Chlamydia, and the other commonly transmitted sexually transmitted diseases are steadily increasing. With a growing number of teen pregnancies, some city officials are beginning to recognize the need for a more comprehensive curriculum. Teaching the cityโs youth about practicing safe sex, andย testing is the first step in preventing the spread of STDs.
It is important to emphasize regular testing whether someone is sexually active or not. Not all STDs are transmitted during intercourse, and some do not display any noticeable symptoms. Not only does this put your health at risk, but also that of everyone around you and only contributes to the cityโs high rate of STDs. Regular HIV testing in Grand Prairie help prevent the virus from turning into full blown AIDS. Herpes tests in Grand Prairie are also important, and can prevent embarrassing sores from appearing around your lips and mouth.
Demographics in Grand Prairie are like much of the state, and include a diverse social and economic culture. The proximity of the nearby university adds to the number of young adults residing in the city, and its quiet, tree lined streets attract a large number of families. While religious and cultural beliefs differ in the bedroom community, most city officials agree that this is not the reason the areaโs STD rates are still on the rise. The lack of funding for the schoolsโ educational programs is a larger contributor.
Located outside of Dallas this bedroom community is a wonderful place to raise a family, even though it is dealing with a high number of residents with a STD. There are several HIV clinics located in the area, but many residents prefer not to utilize these health care centers. STI clinics, however, can provide discreet testing and it is also affordable. Same day results from the test are often available, even if you choose a ten panel one.
