There was an overall increase in HIV infection rates in Rocklin City, California. There were 13 cases in 2011 of new people diagnosed with HIV infections, and in the year 2015, the number had reduced to 11 cases at a rate of 2.9 per 100,000 persons.

There was a lower rate of Syphilis cases compared to other STDs. For instance, in 2013, a total of 28 cases were reported at 7.7 rates per 100,000 persons, and in 2017, the number had increased to 54 at a rate of 14.1 per 100,000 population.
To reduce the number of STDs/HIV cases, Placer County Department is providing community-based services with the aim of improving client medication. That includes; counseling, medical transportation, emergency financial assistance, referrals, psychosocial support, housing, and health education.
