Arizona finds itself in 19th place for most sexually diseased state in the United States. Although not falling within the top ten, Arizona is still feeling the effects of the national STD epidemic.
In Maricopa County there was a sharp uptick in STD cases between the years of 2016 and 2017.
In 2016 there were 31,721 cases reported, and in 2017 that rose to 35,859 cases.
